Three Problems in the Church Today & The Need for Restoration

The Church Has Forgotten the World, So the World Has Forgotten the Church

The Problem:
  • Many churches have become inward-focused, prioritizing traditions, wealth, and comfort over serving the lost, the poor, and the broken.
  • The Church was once the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16), actively shaping culture through love, truth, and justice, but today it has become silent and irrelevant in many societies.
  • Because the Church has withdrawn, the world has turned away from God, embracing sin, corruption, and spiritual confusion.
The Solution:
  • The Church must return to engaging with the world as Christ did—preaching the Gospel boldly, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and standing against injustice (Matthew 25:35-40, James 1:27).
  • We must rebuild trust with society by showing the love of God in action rather than just words (1 John 3:18).
  • Instead of isolating ourselves, we must become active participants in communities, spreading the light of Christ wherever we go (Matthew 28:19-20).

Because of Philosophy and Creeds, The Gospel Has Become Too Confusing—We Need to Simplify It

The Problem:
  • Over time, the simple, powerful message of the Gospel has been buried under complex philosophical debates, man-made creeds, and church traditions that were never part of Christ’s teaching.
  • The early Church followed the pure, biblical faith, but human speculation led to unnecessary theological divisions and confusion (1 Corinthians 1:10-13, Colossians 2:8).
  • Many people today struggle to understand the Gospel because it has been distorted by scholasticism, denominational creeds, and theological jargon rather than simply pointing people to Jesus.
The Solution:
  • We must return to the Scriptures alone as our guide and reject unnecessary theological speculation (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Corinthians 4:6).
  • The Gospel is simple: Believe in Jesus Christ, repent, be baptized, and walk in obedience to God’s commandments (Acts 2:38, John 14:15).
  • We must communicate the Gospel in plain language that people can understand, just as Jesus and the apostles did (Luke 10:21, 2 Corinthians 11:3).

The Church Has Lost Its Emphasis on Walking in God’s Commands as Christ Did

The Problem:
  • Many churches today focus only on belief but ignore the necessity of obedience and holy living (James 2:17-26).
  • Christ did not just call people to faith—He called them to follow Him by keeping God’s commandments (Matthew 7:21-23, 1 John 2:6).
  • Too often, the Church has taught grace without responsibility, leading to lawlessness and moral decay (Romans 6:1-2).
The Solution:
  • We must restore the biblical emphasis on obeying God’s commandments as Jesus did (John 15:10, 1 John 5:3).
  • Walking in God’s ways is not legalism—it is love (Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 22:37-40).
  • The Church must once again teach that faith must be lived out through obedience, love, and holiness (Titus 2:11-14, Revelation 14:12).

A Call to Return to the Way of Christ

The Church must wake up and return to the original Gospel:
✅ Engaging the world with the love and power of God
✅ Removing unnecessary creeds and philosophical confusion
✅ Emphasizing obedience and walking as Christ walked
This is the way forward. This is The Way.
